How many days sober am I?
Enter your sobriety date and the calculator shows how many days sober you are today, and the same time in weeks, and in years, months and days. It runs entirely in your browser: your date isn't sent or saved anywhere.
How it's counted
Your count is today minus your sobriety date, in whole days. Many people count their sobriety date as day 1. If you do, add 1 to the number shown.
Elapsed is a simple day counter, not a recovery program. If you're looking for support, a doctor, a local group or a helpline is the place to start.

Questions
- Do I count my sobriety date as day 1 or day 0?
- Both are common. This calculator counts full days passed, so your sobriety date is day 0. If your group counts it as day 1, add 1.
- Is my date saved anywhere?
- No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
- Is there a simple app that just counts my sober days?
- Elapsed is a free day counter for iPhone. Set your sobriety date and a home-screen widget shows your days, updated every day. It's private: no account, no social feed, and your data stays on your phone. Unlocking every design is $7.99 once, no subscription.
